    Multichannel audio requires disabling


    Hello, I am playing the steam copy of Shadow of War Since the Xbox PC app closes anytime there isn't a perfect Wi-Fi connection despite my device my being offline device and I am having an issue where i need to disable multichannel audio. I don't know why the support team decided the best advice they could give was basically "its somewhere in the control panel just go disable it" but i am completely lost and have no idea how to disable this in the control panel. can someone please help.

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community forums.



    • What is the make and model of your external audio interface?
    • Which routing application are you using?


    The configurations of inputs and outputs on any audio interface is dependent on the hardware and its supporting software. Any audio interface with more than 2 inputs and 2 outputs, should ideally give the user an option to map the
    Input and Output Config, according to his interest.



    I suggest you to go through the user manual provided by your audio interface's manufacturer to know how to set up the control surface.



    If it doesn't explain how to configure, I suggest you to get in touch with the audio interface's manufacturer to know how to configure the same.

    Can not record audio.

    Hi,

    We suggest that you run troubleshooting for Audio Recording by following these steps:

    • Type troubleshooting on the search box.
    • Click View all.
    • Select Recording Audio.
    • Follow the steps to troubleshoot Recording Audio.

    Windows Audio doesnt work, everytime a restart is required to bring back the audio

    Hi Anthony,

    Thanks for providing suggestions. I have tried all the listed troubleshooting before I raise an question over here.

    None of the things helped....in few steps it makes Audio work(Only because of the Restart that is made) again if I shutdown my system and start back after couple of minutes/hours audio doesn't work.
