Windows 10: Multiplayer games will not connect to internet

OK, I have not been able to resolve this issue through a number of other sources, so I'm posting this here.When I try to play a multiplayer game through Steam or Epic, they give me a connection error and says to check the internet connection. FYI, I have an ethernet connection.I have tried:1. Updating drivers2. Disabling firewall/antivirus3. Updating Windows 104. Turning off startup programs with clean boot5. Verifying game files/updating the launcher programsNothing has worked, I am running into a dead end as to what is causing this.

Unable to connect to LAN gaming for multiplayers in Windows 10.

From your description, I understand you are unable to play multiplayer games on your PC using LAN cable connection.



Before assisting further, I would like to ask you few questions:

  Do you get any error message/error code when you try to connect to the games?
  
• 
  If yes, is the error message/error code you get is same to all the games?

Network Settings says No Internet Connection, But...


I've tried unselecting the option but I didn't fix the issue - nor could I see why it would.

The following things connect to the internet fine:

• Microsoft Edge (new IE)
• Chrome
• Skype
• Steam's browser and Steam multiplayer games
• League of Legends launcher, patcher, PVP.net and game client
• Battle.net
• Pretty much everything

What doesn't work:

• Network Center (says I'm not connected)
• Windows Live Mail (logging in)
• Outlook (logging in)
• Notepad 8 (logging in)
• User Accounts (logging in)

The issue seems to affect any Microsoft product that tries to connect to Live.
