Windows 10: Multiple Account Hacks Despite Clean Scans – Is My PC Still Infected?

Over the past few days, several of my accounts have been broken into:Facebook was locked – I regained access and changed the password.Steam spam messages were sent from my account.Instagram posted ETH scam content – I changed the password too.Also, no alerts received on mail!Each time, I ran full scans with Windows Security and the Malicious Software Removal Tool MRT – no threats found. I also tried Malwarebytes, but it started throwing multiple spam alerts...... 1 every 10 seconds or so.My concern is:Could there still be a hidden malware or keylogger?How can I really confirm if my system i

I was hoping someone could give me a list of step by step instructions you use as a guide to clean virus, malware...etc. so I can keep my PC clean if it gets infected.

Steam Account Hacked

Again...

I sent a ticket I just hope they resolve it soon cause I really want to play Portal 2.

And I don't want him getting me banned.

But the scary thing is they hacked my Email account too!

I've changed the password but is that enough?

I scanned my Computer using malware and it got rid of 9 Nasty objects! Its been months since I did a scan and now I'm thinking this is how they got me.

Is a password change and malware scan removal enough to secure me? I made the password much harder than before.

Thinking about doing a reformat as well. Suggestions? Should I leave the hacked email account and make a new one?

Hi:

There is no one set of "boilerplate", "cookbook" or standard steps.
Each computer is unique.
Each malware infection is unique.
Proper diagnosis, cleanup and repair depends on the particular infection and the system that is infected.
The process can be tedious and time-consuming, often requiring the use of multiple powerful tools, in the proper sequence.
Many of them can actually damage the system if deployed improperly by untrained computer users.

Bottom line:
Malware cleanup is best done with *customized* support provided by trained individuals who know what tools to use and how to use them.

There are a few folks with such expertise here at this forum (I am not one of them).
And there are a number of reputable computer disinfection fora where trained malware removal experts provide free, custom assistance.
