  1. Multiple BSOD, after installing second GPU AMD crossfire,

Can anyone walk me through how i should be getting rid of this BSOD..... After i installed my second AMD Radeon 7900 HD Series GPU , and hooked up the crossfire cable and whatnot , i started the PC , went into CCC and enable Crossfire. It went BSOD , so after that i took out the second GPU (both amd radeon 7900) , and the BSOD went away, but i still continued to try and figure out what the problem was and ended up digging up a deeper hole for myself by uninstalling drivers halfway and whatnot, and now its just a bit of a mess. i dont think i have damaged it too much.

basically, could anyone help me get my GPU's running so i can get to playing games without BSOD?

heres a diagnostic i just took.

Boot issue on Windows 10 GA Build 10586 (TH2)

    But...according to
    this article
, "ULPS is a feature of AMD GPUs which are in a multi-GPU CrossFire configuration."

Someone above said it's not an AMD-only issue, but this suggests that it is and may only be for those in a CrossFire configuration (or previously in one).

    How can both be true?

Cue all the people who don't have AMD or that configuration.

    Here is some
    background
on disabling it though, and why it might not stay disabled.

  3. SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCPETION BSOD Windows 10

I've found the same concern related to simply shutting off crossfire; card left in just idle. Previously, with crossfire enabled and playing WoW, it ran fine. I could see both GPUs in use and FPS appropriate for the 2 x 280x. However, after leaving the
computer after exiting the game (no reboot), the system would eventually just be shutoff. Currently set to sleep after 30 idle minutes. Twice now I have come back to a shutoff machine and event viewer (and .dmp file) about an unexpected shutdown. After reading
this, I disabled crossfire in the driver and tested in a similar fashion; play, exit, go away, play, exit, go away (last night left all night running). Crash problem is gone. I do have Intel native integrated GPU on the MB, but it is selected to use the PCIe
video. This is a new build (< 7 days old) and a fresh Win10 install. I'm fairly certain it's not a driver issue. This will probably never be solved since both MS and AMD will be pointing fingers. Could be anything; memory (running XMP @3200 CL14), some obscure
driver that's at WHQL but not latest. Video driver is latest from AMD. Everything else is latest from MS or Intel. Frustrating. Thinking about biting the bullet and getting a new single GPU that can meet or exceed the 280xs, but that seems like quite a waste
since my 280xs are working fine; but switching to one also has advantages of windowed fullscreen working at reasonable FPS since CF does not support that in my games. I'm going to swap GPUs to see if that alters anything and also try running with the second
GPU in non-crossfire to make sure it's working correctly maxed and does not cause any crash system problems. I hope this gets resolved.
