  1. Multiple BSOD after updating drivers

I've had several BSOD errors over the last month or so. I initially suspected a faulty driver in my GPU since analyzing my MEMORY.DMP file in WinDB indicated that this was the case. However, I am still getting the blue screen despite my best efforts, most recently with a different stack trace than usual. I'm posting two of the memory.dmp debug results below. The first one shows what I've typically been seeing when I say typical, they all seem to have "MODULE_NAME: nvlddmkm". The second one is new and occurred after I updated my GPU driver to the latest version I have an RTX 2070 Superwindo

    BSOD- atikmpag.sys

This is most likely due to an installation/upgrade error with ATI driver's. I suggest doing DriveSweeper and the following:
    • Drivesweeper all drivers & in Safe Mode
    • Unistall all drivers that aren't used in DriveSweeper (CCC Profiler Updates, MSI AfterBurner, anything related to ATI that use's it's drivers.)
    • After you do this, the first thing you need to do is go into Device Manager and Unistall your ATI Drivers

Once your done, restart the PC and then try installing the latest drivers.

I had several issues with this in the past, but I overcame it with logical reasoning and whenever I have a driver issue, I just use these steps and I always overcome the problem.

    Best of luck! *Toast :toast:

  3. multiple BSOD's without installing new drivers; windows update?

i don't know where all these BSOD's are coming from.
i haven't changed hardware & i haven't installed any software with drivers since these started.
i checked the windows update list & didn't readily see an update suggesting new drivers were installed.
i've tried to look into the situation myself using a program called 'whocrashed' but i didn't get far.

[SOLVED] Multiple random BSODs, all pointing to the kernel

No BSODs yet but I haven't been playing World of Warcraft which I suspect to be a possible cause.

Was the driver verifier step necessary or just a suggestion?
