  1. Multiple BSOD Caused by Different Sources

I bought a lenovo legion 7i gen 7 about a month ago and I was getting a BSOD on multiple occasions during startup. Every time it happened the laptop would restart and then boot normally. I tried to fix it many times, and originally I was getting that the problem was from xTendUtitility.exe from my killer WLAN driver, I uninstalled the driver and then reinstalled it from the website directly. Now I ran into another issue where my laptop also does the same with the BSOD and then reboots normally but when I run the Reliability history it said that Windows shutdown unexpectedly. I ran WinDbg and sc

Multiple BSODS with different errors, caused by ntoskrnl.exe

Wow thats a lot of usual causes!

Just to clarify / remove some things of that list, as mentioned the RAM has passed memtest multiple times, none of my hardware is OC'd, BIOS is fully up to date.

As far as I'm aware this is because its the single ram speed, and with it being DDR its 800*2=1600, I could be mistaken though?

As for the slots basically I was having BSOD's whenever any module was installed in one of the channels, so I had to move both modules over to the other channel, and this seemed to fix it, however I can move them back around to see what happens.

As for the memory I could have sworn I saw it on the supported list a while ago, ill check with the vendor of my PC.

Thanks for all the help Multiple BSOD Caused by Different Sources :)

    So whats the next step?

I ran WinDbg and scanned the minidump files and got that the problem was from nvme.sys. I tried to troubleshoot it by scanning for new windows updates, driver updates, scanned the disk and ran memory diagnostic but I didn't find any problems. The BSOD doesn't happen every time I turn on the device which is what confused me.

Today I noticed that when I shutdown my device it turned off very fast, faster that usual. When I tried to turn it on again I got a BSOD so I tried to check where the problem was coming from and I got from scanning the new minidump files that the problem was caused by ntkrnlmp.exe.

At this point it is getting very confusing and I can't figure out where the problem really is coming from.

    Some info about my system:

I run Windows 11 with the latest updates, I have checked for driver updates and eveything has the latest version installed, I googled some of the solutions and ran all the scans and commands that I could but didn't find anything that helps.

    ntoskrnl.exe and amdppm.sys causing BSODs

@xcraft02 I can see you are now following zbook's advice so I will step away and let him continue. I'll be available if he needs me. Having too many people advise you is counterproductive as we all have different methods. I was hoping to explore the possible causes step by step so that the primary cause for your BSOD would be found. Now that you are making multiple changes at a time it will be difficult to pinpoint the actual cause. In the end it is important that you are free of the BSOD crashes, knowing why they happened is useful for others and for future improvements but not essential.
