So I've been having an assortment of BSODs lately. Namely IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA and KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. Nothing seems to trigger them in particular, they just happen at seemingly random intervals. When the BSOD describes what failed it comes up as ntoskrnl.exe, which unfortunately does not narrow down the problem. What I've tried so far:Memtest86 Came back no problemsWindows Memory Diagnostic No errorsSFC Again, no problemsDISM No ProblemsUpdate BIOS BIOS is now completely up to date for my computer, BSODs still happenWindows Update Again, compl

[SOLVED] Multiple random BSODs, all pointing to the kernel

No BSODs yet but I haven't been playing World of Warcraft which I suspect to be a possible cause.

Was the driver verifier step necessary or just a suggestion?

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

That made me so facepalm. Some people have absolutely no clue. I hope they don't take you for granted with all this you're doing for them.

SonicWall is a good security product, so Mindweaver's suggestion sounds like a good one and should make for a rather bigger baby step. Let's hope they take it.
