Windows 10: Multiple BSODs on laptop (Acer Swift 1)

Hello all. So to quickly recap the past issues I have had I got my Acer Swift 1 SF114-32 back in February and noticed a month or two ago I was getting BSOD type crashes (most of the time it seemed without an actual blue screen). A lot of these crashes had the bugcheck 0x0000015a and usually referred to sdbus.sys (and without a bug check string). From what I was able to gather this was maybe caused by the sd card reader on my laptop (though I never used the sd card reader). I would get these crashes once every 6-72 hours without any real consistency except for that. I had been using all the drivers acer provides on their website but was able to find drivers (specifically the sd card reader) on microsoft update catalog that was nearly a year and a half more recent than the one acer provides.

I installed this new driver and to try and allow the maximum opportunity for this issue to present itself again I left my laptop plugged in and on for testing and was able to go 11 days without issues which made me think it was probably resolved. After taking it off the charger within a couple days I got the same 0x15a crash with sdbus.sys.

I had updated other drivers too so I thought that might have been the cause so I tried installing windows once more and only installing the latest driver for my sd card reader from MUC and have tried testing without it plugged in. I made it 4.5 days and just crashed though it was different from before (which I guess is a good sign in a way, maybe). I tried waking my computer up from sleep and got just a black screen with my mouse cursor. After a minute or so I got a BSOD and since then have received a few more (though they are different from the ones I got pre-windows reinstall).

I did chkdsk and memory test and got 0 errors.

Also I'm not sure if this is linked or not but I also get a semi-frequent "aw snap this page failed to load" in chrome.

I would greatly appreciate it if anybody could help me try to resolve this issue. Acer support was a bit lacking and they imeditally wanted me to send it in for warranty without even knowing the specifics of the issue (this might be fine but I had heard stories of people sending in products for warranty repair to acer and them sending it back after not being able to replicate the problem and I can't replicate the problem directly. This combined with the fact that I would have to pay for the shipping to send it in makes me want to avoid this if it all possible.)

NEW Acer Swift 1 - Unable to setup Fingerprint

I recently bought a new Acer Swift 1 laptop, but I'm unable to get the fingerprint option set up. I've tried almost all suggestion from a previous thread posted by someone else, but I have not have much success. Please help!!

The Acer Swift 1 has no touchscreen capability in its list of specs, if that does not exist, then you cannot use that on your laptop . . .

Acer Swift 1 Fingerprint Login Issue

Hi,

I have just recently bought an Acer Swift 1 laptop with Windows 10 Home. On the whole it looks great and performs well for the price, and does everything I need it to.

The only issue seems to be the fingerprint scanner is very hit and miss - it takes a long time to register a print in Windows Hello (comes up with multiple "your device is having trouble recognising you" messages),
and when it does it only seems to work about maybe one in five times (same error message), usually meaning I have to log in with a pin (first world problems etc.)

So far I have tried:

1. Updating the driver 2) Uninstalling and reinstalling the driver 3) Deleting and re-recording my fingerprint 4) Recording a different finger, to no avail. I have visually inspected and cleaned the sensor.
   

Does anyone have any suggestions / quick fixes for this? If I cannot resolve it it is not a huge issue (I can just log in with a pin in 2 seconds), and I can't really be bothered to send it back and wait 7
days etc just to repair this one component.

Interestingly I had a similar issue with a LG G6 phone last year too, so maybe its me.
