  1. multiple BSOD's without installing new drivers; windows update?

i don't know where all these BSOD's are coming from.
i haven't changed hardware & i haven't installed any software with drivers since these started.
i checked the windows update list & didn't readily see an update suggesting new drivers were installed.
i've tried to look into the situation myself using a program called 'whocrashed' but i didn't get far.

  2. BSOD with THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER error upon AMD GPU driver installation

I have been getting BSODs continuously since the fateful day I decided to move to AMD crimson drivers in windows 10. And now, I can't even run installation of any of the AMD drivers, not even the catalyst ones, without
my system freezing. The crimson driver installation runs up to the the 50% mark whence the PC crashes to BSOD giving a THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER error. I have tried everything, from doing a clean driver install using DDU to trying to revert to a older
Intel HD 4000 driver (unsuccessfully), but nothing seems to work. Even the recent 7970M windows 10 update leads to BSOD with the same error. The system tends to freeze even at startup, and it takes multiple restarts along with some luck to get it to respond.

My system is an Alienware m17xr4 sporting an AMD 7970M.

    OS: Windows 10

    Any help would be appreciated.

  3. BSOD with the error Video_TDR_Failure (NVLDDMKM.SYS) with NVIDIA 630M and windows 10

Same here with a Toshiba Qosmio X300 Nvidia GF 9800M GTX 1GB, upgrade from Windows 8.1 to W10.

With W8.1 no pb, driver 341.44. With W10 M$ installed 341.74 and gives this BSOD. Installed W8.1 driver 341.44 and W10 works without ANY BSOD. Was difficult to install because BSOD came very fast after boot.

Hope M$ will find a solution.

One of the dumps indicates a problem with your Nvidia driver or card. You currently have the 341.95 driver from 1/28/2016.
    Try the newer 342.00 version.

Remove and install latest Nvidia drivers:

I suggest completely uninstalling the Nvidia display drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) from WagnardMobile (near bottom of page) then get the latest driver for you Nvidia card here: NVIDIA Driver Downloads

Then do a custom install of only the NVidia graphics driver and the PhysX driver.

See if that gets rid of the problem.

  6. I tested my ram & then stumbled upon changing the driver for my wifi adapter from one or the other of ralink & mediatek & that seemed to stop the bsod's (I don't remember if I changed it prior even though I said I didn't install a new driver - though if you look at my other recent post I made today, it appears i'm being assaulted with coercion as if to use Linux & it certainly isn't going to happen considering I've been experiencing various computer problems for years despite changing hardware to the extent of a whole new computer twice & there was a third motherboard in the timeline too .. causing stress, animosity, deprecation, & agony isn't going to force me to do anything other than rest as primal instinct because my body as a battery needs to recharge for health & stability to fight off distortion, while learning a new operating system additionally requires health & stability - though clearly my said point doesn't make sense to whoever or whatever is causing it, as my distortions are adding up).

    **edit**
as far as graphics card goes, I've got two different ones & from time to time they've both appeared to be a hardware problem with the card - yet years later they continue to work without increasing problems that is expected from failing components on the circuit board & with that said, it appears to be a driver problem; though windows decided to auto update the graphics driver yesterday or the day before anyways.
