Windows 10: Multiple daily BSOD since Upgrade to Win10

Hi, I am losing my mind and have run out of places to check for help, so hoping someone here can assist:

I installed Win 10 on 8/8. Since then receiving the same 2 BSOD multiple times every day, but no indication as to the cause.

I have updated every driver I can think of, when that didn't work, I clean reinstalled 3 different times.

I have run SFC - it cannot correct errors found, then DISM /online retorehealth and it cannot find source run. Installed whocrashed, but it only points to ntoskrnl, and cannot find the specific issue.

Anyhow, I am receiving these two errors which are logged in multiple mini-dmp files in the upload:
DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION
POOL_CORRUPTION_IN_FILE_AREA

Multiple BSOD Daily

I attempted to run verifier and managed to get my computer into a worse mess, i had given up and just set windows to reset (delete all files and reset, as the keep personal files option crashed from a system driver, probably the one that was the root of
it all by i couldn't write it down in time and was so fed up at this point i didn't care.) So far, so good, no crashes, will report back in a week if it has any issues.

 

Multiple BSOD Daily

I get multiple BSOD crashes daily on this machine after a fresh install of windows 10

The error messages i most frequently hit are

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

KERRNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE

According to the Dump files the main issue is ntoskrnl.exe I just built this computer and i do not know any way to fix this.

As of writing this i have had 42 crashes since 10/2/15 This is corrupting my projects and interupting workflow i NEED to fix this and microsoft has not been helpful.

I have done SFC scannow. No corruption

I have scanned for viruses. None.

I have tried to repair everything with a usb key and it will not find any problems with the repair tools.

Please make a screenshot of the error you get when running dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth and post it.

Because the crashes are pointing to windows drivers/files, we need to find out if there are 3rd party drivers involved






Diagnostic Test

DRIVER VERIFIER


Warning Please make a backup of your important files and get your rescue media or create one.
Please create a restore point.
Please read and run driver verifier.

Some windows drivers are blamed in a few crashes, but that usually means that a 3rd party driver is actually the cause.
Driver verifier stresses your drivers and will crash your pc if any driver fails due to a violation.

Driver verifier should be performed for a max of 48 hours, or when you have a bluescreen, whatever comes first.

If driver verifier has found a violation and you can't get back into windows normally, try to boot into safe mode and reset in safe mode driver verifier, or in the troubleshooting options open command prompt and type verifier /reset.



Note Your system will act very sluggishly while driver verifier is enabled, this is normal as your drivers will be being subjected to heavy testing in order to make them crash.

Thanks for the response! Here is the DISM screenshot. It will take me a bit to figure out this driver verifier thing though. I'll post that as soon as I can.

That error is a known problem with windows 10
Try an in-place upgrade, it should solve the issue.

IMHO you should disable fast startup, which will at least stop the disk check on all the drives during boot.

I already did that 2x. Third time I used burned iso, b/c after 2x, I got INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE upon 3rd reset b/c I was messing with MB Inter RAID vs AHCI settings.

This is the fourth iteration of Win10 installation. Is repeating what I have already done, expecting a different outcome the way to go (definition of insanity, right?) and start again from scratch only to end up hours later exactly where I am at the moment? I hope this makes sense that I'd like to use that as a last resort. Driver Verifier is running for a while now. ill post again once something happens. Thanks again!

Thank you for the input. I was not away of that start-up goofiness, and normally turn hibernate off anyhow, but apparently skipped it this install. Hibernate is now off:

Yes you have, but an in-place upgrade isn't the same as a clean install, refresh or reset (for so far I understand it)

 

OK, Driver Verifier was running. System crashed. I turned Driver Verifier off. Now what?

 

Please use the tool again and upload the zip file
