Windows 10: Multiple Diacritics/Character Combining on a Single Character AGAIN

Hello Everyone,


I am trying to type a paper in the Arabic Language and I need to put more than one diacritic on a single letter. I have been trying to find a way in Word but it doesn't work. When I tried to do this in Libre Writer it works. Is there a way to make this work in Word ?

THIS IS RIDICULOUS, I have asked this question multiple times and no answers from devs or otherwise. Why cant we connect to Microsoft devs to inform them about bugs they have. Ridiculous. And I contacted support and they said "First you need to have Office 365". Ridiculous. I have to purchase office to tell a dev about a bug.


Even 4 people had the same question previously. This problem is in ALL of windows. Its related to the Microsoft Typography engine. This doesnt happen in Online Word nor other non Microsoft programs and not in LATEX. It was fine before Microsoft decided to add who knows what that broke Arabic typing.

Problem with Arabic diacritic formatting using Character MAp

Problem with Character Map in Word. WHen I try to insert an Arabic diacritic of a dot under an 'h', for example, I get this but then also a letter space which cannot be deleted. When I try to delete the space it deletes the letter with the diacritic.

 

Cannot type é using key combination ´+e (problem with diacritics)

Hi, in my case, I can select UK, US or UKX (UK extended) keyboards.

è only works with the last of these.
I don't actually have a single quote key with the reverse slope, only '.

What I do find helps a lot is a tiny free 3rd party program that allow you to press a letter, followed by a key of your choice to cycle through a set of possible characters for a given language.

Thus e followed by F8 => é
e F8 F8 => è

e F8 F8 F8 => ê

It provides sets for many languages, and you can create your own:








Much more convenient and works anywhere.

Arabic keyboard missing characters

The Arabic keyboard in WP8 is missing quite a few characters which renders it useless. In older versions, the missing characters were available through pressing the shift key but the latter is not available in WP8 while in the Arabic keyboard.



The list of missing characters are:

• Arabic Letter Yeh with Hamza Above
• Arabic Letter Alef with Hamza Above
• Arabic Letter Alef with Hamza Below
• Arabic Letter Alef with Madda Above
• Arabic Letter Hamza Isolated Form
• Arabic Letter Waw with Hamza Above
• All Diacritics are missing.

I hope you have plans to fix this serious issue. It's extremely annoying.
