Windows 10: Multiple displays/workflow advice needed!

(I want to preface by saying I'm relatively new to Reddit and I hope I'm in the right place to ask this question. Apologies if I'm not.)

I am a teacher who just received a new laptop (running Windows 10) to facilitate online learning, but having taught from my personal MacBook all year, I'm having to shift gears quickly. I currently have a three-monitor setup: laptop running Windows 10, a monitor, and a projector. I've successfully set these up to duplicate the laptop display on the projector and extend to the monitor, but here's the catch: I have to disconnect from the projector and monitor every time I have to travel to a different classroom. Every time I do, I'm left with a massive jumble of windows on my laptop that doesn't "remember" to return to my extended display when I plug back in to the same setup in another classroom. I have to reconfigure my display settings and extended display windows each time I move rooms, which is several times a day. It seems like there must be an easy way to keep these settings and windows intact, but if there is, I haven't found it.

Is there anything built in to Windows 10 to manage (and preserve) windows on an extended display, or do I have to go third party?—I used a combination of Spaces and Rectangle for this purpose on OSX if that's at all helpful. I'm just losing a significant amount of class time having to reconfigure everything each time I begin a new class and I'm out of ideas! I already use win + shift + arrows to move windows between displays, but with a duplicated display on the classroom projector, I'm concerned about sensitive information (grades, parent messages, etc.) being inadvertently exposed before I can shift them to my extended display.

Let me guide you now on how to set up multiple displays on a Windows 10 computer. You may follow the steps below to configure the correct display settings for your device.

Here are the steps:

• Right-click on your desktop.
• Select Display settings, then different options will be displayed.
  
• You can either choose Duplicate these displays to sync your activities from the original monitor with the second one or
  Extend these displays to be able to do multiple activities using separate displays.
• After choosing your preferred option, click on Apply.

1. May I know the make and model of the PC?
   
2. Did you try updating your display driver?
   
3. Are you getting any error message?
   

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Steps 1:

1. Go to settings
   
2. Click on “System"
   
3. Then click on Display
   
4. Move your mouse to the monitor that needs to be set as primary and check the box
   "Make this my main display"
   
5. Under "Multiple displays" select "Duplicate these displays"
   
6. Then select “Keep this display settings”
   

Once you make these changes, you may restart the computer and check.

Multiple display resizing

I would suggest you some steps which you can try resolving this issue.

Follow these steps to update graphics drivers.

• Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
  
  
• Search for Display Adapters and expand it.
  
  
• Right click on the graphics driver and select Update driver software.

Uninstall and Reinstall the graphics card drivers and check.

Note: If you are using the multiple monitors to extend the display then please make sure the resolution of both the monitors are set equally same so that there is no issues with the size or any program or an app.
