  1. Multiple drives on Win 10 Pro PC.

I have Win 10 Pro pc. It has two ssd drives C: and D: plus and internal 1TB normal hard drive, E:. I didn't set it up like that and the firm that upgraded it and suggested this set up didn't survive the recent lockdowns and is no longer trading.

C: is meant to hold the OS whilst D: the user and program/app data with E: holding all the libraries and folders like documents, pictures, music, etc. There is a lot of space being used and lot duplication on C and D but I'm not confident what I can safely move or delete. Anyone any suggestions as to how to go about rationalizing and cleaning up.

    :)

Problems with new PC, Win 10 Pro

New Dell Inspiron 3580 with Win 10 Pro. 2004, Build 19041.388

I have two disks that are marked (BitLocker Encrypted).
The first is Disk 0 with only Win 10 (CMultiple drives on Win 10 Pro PC. :) (KBG40ZNS128G NVMe LIOXIA)
The second is Disk 1 which is a 1TB inclosed HD. (Toshiba MQ04ABF100)

I want to unencrypt Disk 1 so that I can make partitions. I am unable to do anything with this drive except change name and drive letter. I would really like to get rid of BitLocker.

Have done many searches but nothing seems to work as listed. (Maybe because of 2004?)

I have whole list of other problems with Pro.
    - Can not restore File Explorer icon on taskbar
    - Can not transfer profiles to Firefox or Thunderbird
    - Can not turn-off BitLocker (see above)
    - Would like to delete MS Account
    - Speedup starting PC (can take up to a minute with Dell image showing before sign-in)

I can solve somethings like File Explorer, by using system restore point but a day later it is gone again. Have used restore 3 times - nothing holds.

When I received the PC it had 1909 loaded and the first thing I did was to upgrade to 2004 (if this helps).
I have run SFC and DISM three times - no help.

    Any suggestions, please.

    Recovery Drive Doubt

I created a recovery drive usb pendrive when i bought my laptop. That time it was Win 10 Home SL. Now i upgraded it to Win 10 Pro and activated it using "illegal software". So these are the doubts which i have :

    1. Can the Recovery Drive reverts Pro to Home? (Recovery Drive was created during Win 10 Home SL. So if i boot Recovery Drive it should revert back to Home. These are my thoughts)
    2. Will the digital license work after downgrading ?
    3. Will there be any backlash ?
P.S. After upgrading it to Pro, there was a warning saying "digital license valid for Home SL, and not for Pro". I used an "illegal software" to activate it. Also i am a newbie so please explain it step by step.

  4. Multiple drives on Win 10 Pro PC.

Reloading - retrieving my installed WIN 10 PRO

Thanks for the quick and detail response. Just to make sure I understand your procedure, here are the steps I will do:

    1. Download Win10586PESE-x64 v16.07.07 (new) ISO and burn to a DVD.

    2. Place DVD in computer and power ON boot from DVD
    3. Run Macrium Reflect. Under the restore menu will be a utility to fix Windows startup problems. Try that utility to see if that restores booting to Windows 10
    4. When Windows startup utility finishes, remove DVD and power OFF computer
    5. Power ON and see if WIN 10 boots.
    6. If WIN 10 boots, check for normal operation, etc.
    7. If WIN 10 does not boot; re-install full WIN 7 disk image.
    8. Download and save Windows 10 ISO file tofolder on C:\ drive
    9. Down load and save:WinISO file on C:\ drive.
    10. Run and install WinISO according to http://www.winiso.com/support/tutorials/mount-iso-in-windows7.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">
[*]Run WinISO, open the Windows 10 ISO file stored on C:\. I assume there will be some type of BROWSE menu so you can select the Windows 10 ISO file?
[*] Click "Mount" and a file menu of the files in the Windows 10 ISO file will appear.
[*]Double click to Run setup.exe.from the WINDOWS 10 ISO file menu
[*]This should upgrade your Windows 7 to Windows 10 - This same procedure as the “Free” upgrade from WIN 7 PRO to WIN 10 PRO. When finished WIN 10 PRO will be installed and ALL WIN 7 PRO program files, drivers, printers and data files from WIN 7 PRO will be available for use. To be explicit this is an install of WIN 10 PRO and a “TRANSFER/ UPGRADE of WIN 7 PRO program files, drivers, printers and data files. This is NOT a CLEAN INSTALL of WIN 10 PRO

JUST WANT TO MAKE MAKE SURE I UNDERSTAND THE EXPECTED RESULTS

    1. The newly created WIN 10 PRO install should activate based upon your previously activated upgrade. I assume the setup program will access some Microsoft data base and find my previous activation?

Please excuse the long list, but I find it better to ask questions now, rather than try to unwind some misunderstanding later.

I do appreciate your time and support!

    Thanks
