Windows 10: Multiple EFI system partitions on C drive

Been trying to do a dual boot with windows 11 & 10 on my c drive by running a windows 10 usb boot drive to install.It didnt work, windows 10 failing to create a boot setup and i`m left with lots of small 100MB partitions on my c drive. Any idea which i can remove, i`m trying to extend my C to use that unallocated 487gb of space.I`ve explored each system partition, but no idea which one is actually active? Thanks

Move EFI partition

its to enable win 10 to update to its anniversary edition.. it cant do this due to lack of C drive space i have had a quick try with the trial version of easus.. it didnt seem to be able to do what i want..

i am assuming i cant just delete the efi partition but maybe i could.. as yet i havnt even figured out how to get into the bios of the thing.. maybe that should be my next step.. *Smile

diskpart could probably do it but figuring out how (it aint that user friendly) might be difficult without step by step instructions..

Move Windows EFI boot partition to another drive.

I have a Windows installation with three drives

C:\ (windows 10 installation)

E:\ (stuff)

D:\ (contains the EFI boot partition + stuff)

For what ever reason, when i installed Windows with a two disk setup, the core installation was installed on C:\ and the EFI partition was installed on D:\

I no longer need drives E:\ and D:\, but i cannot remove D:\ because this contains the EFI boot partition and the system cannot boot without it.

But i also don't want to keep a 450GB SSD just to save a 100MB EFI boot partition onto it.

So my question is.

Q1: How can i move the EFI partition?

Answer: I have already gone to my C:\ with disk manager and shrinked the partition by 110 MB, going into CMD (as administrator) and with the commands

$ diskpart

$ list

$ select disk 3

$ create partition efi

$ exit

The above created a new EFI partition on the C:\ drive on the 110 MB partition.

Q2: How do i get Windows to use the new EFI partition so i can physically remove the D:\ drive?

How to move move EFI partition and C drive to M2 SSD

Hi, I've recently upgraded motherboard & processor and it's working well.
I have now added an M2 SSD and want to safely move the EFI partition and current system (C drive to the M2 SSD - ideally with the EFI partition at the start of the M2 drive
Here's a screenshot of current disk management view.



Disk 0 contains the System (C, then the EFI partition (no letter); then user Data (D which will stay on the drive
Disk 3 is the new M2 SSD
Do I need to backup the current EFI partion - if so how ?
I'd appreciate step by step instructions to make this move to the M2 SSD
