Windows 10: Multiple Failures on Windows 10 21H2 0x800f0988 and 0x8007042B - 0x4000D

Hi,Having a bit of a nightmare. My laptop started running slowly, which I tend to find means that it needs Windows updating.Tried running the update to version 21H2, and got the error code 0x800f0988. Had a search online, and tried running the update again using the recommended Media Creation Tool, but having left it to run overnight, this morning I had the following message:When I went back into Settings/Windows Update, there was another error message and back to the 0x800f988 error code::Feels like I am in some kind of never-ending loop here - would be grateful for any suggestions to help.Ma

Windows 10 anniversary update failure (0x8007042B-0x4000D)

Hi,

Yes: I use a complete protection but, after the 1st failure all following ones were attempted with the protection completely disabled.

For my personal culture I'd also would like to know what 0x8007042B+0x4000D exactly means....

To fix error 0x8007042B – 0x4000D with this tool, follow these steps:

1-From the Start Menu, go to Settings.

2-Now navigate to the Update and Security section.

3-On the left panel, select the Troubleshoot option.

4-Now select Windows Update from the available options and click

5-Run the troubleshooter button.

You should now wait for the Troubleshooter to scan the system for issues. Once done, it will list down the issue and the required actions to fix it.

Error code 0x8007042B - 0x4000D

Hi, I'd need your help.

I've tried to upgrade my current Win 7 Pro-version into Win 10 Pro-version, but the error code appeared in the final stage of the installing every time:

Error code 0x8007042B - 0x4000D
The installation failed in the stage SECOND_BOOT because the error took place during the function MIGRATE_DATA

In the control panel, Windows Update-section has been called as error code 0x8007042B - 2000D and there weren't any solution for this error in the guidelines .

I ran the sfc /scannow in the cmd and there weren't any defragmentations.

How could I get this error code fixed ?

My goal is to preserve all my music making plugins & files as they are in Win 7, so I'd like to keep some of my old files (Program files/Vstplugins, Program files (x86)/Vstplugins etc.) from Win7 to Win 10.
