Windows 10: Multiple HD partitions and what can I erase

Hello

Since a few computer upgrades ago (Windows XP, I think), I've always had 2 main partitions. One for OS with some extra space for some programs and another partition with everything. I forgot the reason for that (probably easier to format, since I had no backup options at the time) and now I see no reason to continue doing it. However, I found out I can't join the 2 partitions because there are 2 other in the middle.

These partition don't appear to be used for anything (mostly empty). One takes up 350MB and the other, 791MB. Neither have any name. These are not the only partition like this (empty and unnamed) but are the only ones that are bothering me. Here are some images of the Windows 10 Disk Management Tool and another one from EaseUS. Sorry for the images not being in English (Brazilian here).

Is it safe to delete those, and, if not any other way for me to join my 2 main partitions into one? There is nothing to lose inside the main partitions, since I just fully formated my laptop. Thanks for the help.

How to recover to Win7 after ubuntu install

Hi guys,



I have problems trying to recover my booklet from ubuntu, I've done somethings, what I've now is that when I erased the ubuntu partition I used a USB bootable app (BootItNG) to do this and restore the MBR because of the GRUB that linux installs



I though that after this I could restore the HD from the F8 recovery, but I guess it had a different MBR or something, I tried installing WinXP but I really ****&$%@# the MBR



I didn't touched the recovery partition so all the info is still there...



What can I do to restore the MBR so I can use the F8 function and restore the HD, and get everything back to normal??

Problem formatting an internal 2,5" HD that has been used as an external backup drive and now is going to be used again as an internal hd in a laptop

I am using a laptop internal 2.5"hard disk as an external backup unit (let called #1) and has worked very well. One of my computers had a problem with its internal HD (lets call it #2) which "is the same as the #1". To use the HD #1 as an internal HD again
it needs to be formatted. I did that and it show that the #1 was empty. When I installed #1 in the computer and tried to load W10 it does not allowed me to do it because it has a number of partitions. How do I format the HD so all the partitions are erased?


Any ideas?

I don't see any reason why you could not delete the two partitions between C: and D:. The worst that would happen is that you would lose some sort of factory restore capability.

 

Thanks for the quick reply. So no big reason to not erase them. I don't think those partitions came from the factory, since I split the partitions after I got it. Might be some leftovers from old formatting or from the time I tried installing Linux (that did NOT go well with Windows 8 at the time). Alsot, laptop already over 4 years old and I'll need a new one soon anyway. Thanks again.

 

They are most likely from Linux.
