Windows 10: Multiple issues with startup/shutdown since latest Windows update

The other day my computer received two Windows updates KB5039893 and KB5040427. Immediately after installing these updates, it began suffering multiple issues which I haven't ever seen before.1. Whenever I attempt to shut the computer down, it gets stuck on the shutdown screen for an extended period of time usually around ten minutes before BSOD'ing. Even after the bluescreen hits, the computer does not shut itself down and must be manually shut off via the tower's power button. Last time this happened it never bluescreened and I waited upwards of 30 minutes before being forced to cut pow

I would appreciate if you can provide us the following information to help us understand the issue better.

1. What is the make and model number of the computer?

2. Have you tried updating/installing the latest Graphics card drivers?

I suggest you to enable the low resolution mode and check if the issue persists. If the issue does not persist, then try installing the latest Graphics card drivers from the computer manufacturer's website or from Windows Update and check.

Step 1: Enable low-resolution mode.

Refer to the following Microsoft Help article to enable low-resolution model.

Step 2: Update the Graphics card driver.

Follow the steps to update the Video card driver:

• Press Windows + X keys and click
  Device Manager.
• Expand ‘Display Adapters’.
• Right-click on the Graphics card listed and click on ‘Update Driver Software’.

Steps

• Open a run box
• type in "gpedit.msc"
• Expand Computer Configuration
• Expand Windows Settings
• Select Scripts (Startup/Shutdown)
• Double click Startup
• Click Show Files and copy/paste your file in to this folder
• Click the Add button on the startup properties
• Click Browse and double click on your script to choose it.
• "OK" out of all windows to apply the new settings.
