Keystrokes not registering until a key is pressed multiple

I got on my laptop this morning to find that whenever I am inputting text in any application that I need to press a key multiple times to get inputs to register. I do not mean that if I wanted to type the letter G that I need to press the G key multiple times, I can press the K key or the Y key a few times, then go back to press the G key and the only keystroke that will register is the final, G input. It seems that my keyboard requires 5 to 7 inputs before "waking up" and actually registering keystrokes, so to speak. This issue happens whenever I open a new tab, leave a text box idle for as little as 10 seconds (this issue occurred twice in the time it took me to type this out), or click back into a text box. Issue is also present when attempting to use keyboard commands such as ctrl+v and ctrl+c, and the windows key itself. My drivers are updated and the hardware and devices troubleshooter hasn't detected anything amiss.

Is this a setting I seem to have accidentally toggled, or is the issue mechanical in nature?

    Any help is appreciated.

  3. The MiniTool register from disk worked for me

This worked for me. The MiniTool instructions. Background: at first when I went into powershell (admin not needed to list them) and type: Code:
In the resulting list of 29 items, Microsoft.Windows.SecHealthUI was NOT listed. It was totally missing. So none of the more common "re-register" steps would work because they require Get-AppxPackage to see it and on my system it couldn't. But the MiniTool approach gets at it from the file location on disk: C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.Windows.SecHealthUI_cw5n1h2txyewy This WAS there on my system. So, opening powershell admin (right click start menu) and running MiniTool's suggestion, namely, Code:
fixed it. It essentially reinstalled it. Then it appeared in the list returned from Get-AppxPackage and the "Open Windows Security" button in settings worked.

    Wallpaper with multiple monitors

    Hi,

What exactly do you mean when you says that apps are half finished and missing basic features? Do you mean to say that the apps are not working as expected?

Please follow the suggestions mentioned below:

    Method 1:

I suggest that you reset the Windows Store cache as per the below mentioned steps and check:

    • Press Windows key
and R key together to open the Run Window.

    • Type wsreset.exe
and press Enter key for the command to execute.
    Method 2:

I would suggest you to re-register Windows Store App and check. Please follow the steps:

    a. Press Windows key + X.

    b. Click command prompt (Run as administrator). type the following command:

powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.XML

    For reference:
