Windows 10: Multiple Monitors, Multiple Backgrounds, Windows 11 and Graphics Driver Updates

Hi, I run three monitors on my Windows 11 desktop PC, and all three have different images as their backgrounds. However, every single time my graphics drivers update whether from Windows Update or AMD Adrenaline; seems to make no difference and be triggered by either, all three monitors reset to whatever screen 1 is using. I then have to reset the images - manually - through Personalise. A restart does not correct the issue; and this happens every time I get an update which is extra annoying at the moment as it seems to happen weekly, or more frequently; it's become part of my startup routi

Multiple display resizing

• What is the make and model of your computer?
  
• Did you make any changes to the computer prior to this issue?
  
• Are you using multiple monitors to extend the display or using the multiple desktop screens on a single monitor?

I would suggest you some steps which you can try resolving this issue.

Follow these steps to update graphics drivers.

• Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
  
  
• Search for Display Adapters and expand it.
  
  
• Right click on the graphics driver and select Update driver software.

Uninstall and Reinstall the graphics card drivers and check.

Note: If you are using the multiple monitors to extend the display then please make sure the resolution of both the monitors are set equally same so that there is no issues with the size or any program or an app.

Windows move about on multiple monitor wake up

Hi Gareth,

The issue is most likely with the graphics driver. Whenever a single monitor from a multiple display setup in Windows, it will attempt to move everything from that screen onto the remaining screens. Usually, this issue should not occur when suspending, hibernating,
or shutting down. Having said that, we suggest that you update the graphics driver by following the steps on this link:

Update drivers in Windows 10.

In case that the issue persists after following the steps on the link above, we suggest that you update the graphics driver by going to the chipset manufacturer's website.

Windows 10 Multiple Display NOT Working

I suggest you to update the display drivers and then try to set up multiple monitors.

I suggest you to update the Graphics card drivers and check if it helps:

• Click on 'Start' and type 'Device Manager' in the start search box and press enter.
• Click on the “Display adapters” to expand the list.
• Right-click on drivers and update it.
• If there are no update available, then go ahead and reinstall the driver by clicking on 'Uninstall'.
• Restart the PC
