Multiple monitors with different resolution. Background with different images in tile mode

I just got a brand new HP ZBook Fury G7 running W10 pro. The Zbook has a monitor with 3840 x 2160 resolution and I use a second ASUS ProArt with 1920 x 1200 px.I want use two different picture so to get a perfect tiling in the two monitors. If I use the center mode I can set the two different pictures on each of the monitors separately. The two pictures have different px dimensions so that when used on the two monitors in tile mode they should span exactly the surface in equal number on each of the two monitors. Then if I try to select the tile option W10 uses only one of the two pictures inst

  2. Different Background for Multiple Desktops

Multiple monitors is so common these days, why does it take a google search to figure out how to have different background images on each monitor? Even then, most of the results didn't get you into the old control panel function and you can't turn off the
    slide show function.

Please, in a future update, make it easy to have different static background images on each monitor. This was easy in the past, it should be even easier now.

    Different Backgrounds on each monitor

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We understand that you are unable to set different wallpapers on each monitors.

We would suggest you to refer the steps mentioned below and see if that helps.

    Method 1: Identify Displays.

Try using the Identify option to identify the displays and then check if you can set different background. Refer the steps mentioned below:

    1. Press Windows key + I, to open
      Settings
      .
    2. Click on System, and select
      Display
      on the left pane.
    3. Now, under Rearrange your displays, click on
      Identify to identify the displays.

    Refer screenshot below:

Once the displays are identified as Monitor 1 and Monitor 2, try setting the background.

    Method 2: Duplicating Displays

One other thing we can try is to set the displays to Duplicate first and then Extend them.

To Duplicate the Displays, press Windows key + P, and select
Duplicate. Follow the same steps and select Extend.

After Extending the displays, check if we get the option to set different backgrounds.

    Method 3: Reinstall Display Drivers.

If Method 1 and 2 didn’t help, we can try uninstalling and reinstalling the Display Drivers. Refer the steps mentioned below:

    1. Press Windows key + X, and select
      Device Manager.
    2. Expand Display adapters.
    3. Now, right click on the Display
      device
      and select Uninstall Device.
    4. Once the device is uninstalled, click on Actions and select
      Scan for hardware changes.
    5. Restart the computer.

    Let us know the results.

Different Slideshow Backgrounds on Multiple Monitors

    Hi,

I'm using 2 monitors on the "Extend" mode, and I want to set for each screen a different background slideshow, each running independently

(instead of the same slideshow and each picture divided between the monitors).

    How can it be done?

    Thanks.
