    Issues with network adapters

    Hi Alfonso,

To resolve this issue, we suggest that you run the Network troubleshooter when you switch from WiFi to Ethernet connection. The Network troubleshooter can help diagnose and fix common connection problems including clearing the network cache to obtain a new
IP from the new network. Kindly follow the steps below:

    • In the search box on the taskbar, type Identify and repair network problems, and then select
Identify and repair network problems from the list of results.
    • Follow the steps in the troubleshooter and see if that fixes the problem.

If the issue persists, kindly try the troubleshooting steps on the following link:

    .

We recommend that you try the steps on the Update the network adapter driver,
Run the Network troubleshooter followed by networking commands, and Use network reset to reinstall network devices sections.

    Multiple Network Issues

    Hi SpawnofGiratina,

One of the possible reasons you are experiencing this issue is due to a corrupted driver or NIC. For us to get a better understanding about the network connectivity issue that you're experiencing and provide a resolution suitable to your concern, kindly
    provide the following information:

    • Does your laptop able to detect other wireless networks?
    • Were there any changes made to your laptop prior to the issue? (downloaded programs, changes in settings, etc.)
    • Were there any modifications your router/gateway made prior to the issue?

I suggest you follow the troubleshooting steps provided below:

    • Check if Wireless is Enabled and ensure Airplane mode is Disabled. If your laptop has a keyboard function key to enable/disable the wireless network, make sure to turn it off.
    • Run the Network Adapter Troubleshooter by going to Settings
      > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Network Adapter >
      Run the troubleshooter.
    • Check for the Device status. Click on Start > Device Manager
      > select the wireless driver to expand > right-click on the driver >
      Properties
      > General tab. Send the exact error message if there are any under the
      Device Status.
    • Uninstall the wireless driver. To do this, go to Start >
      Device Manager
      > select the wireless driver to expand > right-click on the driver >
Properties > Driver > Uninstall Device and install the latest one from the manufacturer’s website. If the issue started after installing the latest wireless drivers, then
Rollback the driver to its previous version.
    • If the issue still persists, perform a clean boot and check if your laptop can detect wireless network
      at this state.

    Update us with the results.
