Windows 10: Multiple problems possibly from failed update

So I left my computer on most of the time and last night it auto updated and restarted my computer. When I get into my account, my local audio service is not running. Icons in start menu all disappeared except for a few apps. I can't run sfc /scannow because I for some reason don't have permission. And I tried to uninstall updates but a message popup saying it can't be uninstalled because it wasn't successfully updated. When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

Checking for updates after following the steps, Will inform on the progress of the update process and whether this solves it or nope. Thank you for the suggestion.

The Trick didn't work.





The Security Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3074681) which was available, failed to install. And the same story again..
