    Multiple programs taskbar. When one open others do not appear in front


    Let's say I have 5 programs on my taskbar. IE, calculator, word, excel and ppt. Let's say I have IE open. If I try to click on another program on taskbar, it does not show up over the IE. Same as any other program that is opened, when clicking on the taskbar program it will not show up in front of the program that is currently displayed. I have been unable to fix it in any settings. The only way I can fix it is to reset computer, but the issue comes back in the next several hours or days. Then reset again. Is there a way to fix so when program A is displayed and I click on program B from taskbar that it shows up in front of program A? It is annoying that I have to minimize the current program to see the other program. (difficult to describe issue, hope this makes sense).

    Windows on Windows 10 not coming to the front

    When I have multiple windows open and I click on a running program the windows of that program doesn't come to the front. If I'm working on chrome, word and a pdf, etc and I click
    in one of the windows sometimes it comes to the front and other times it doesn't come to the front. I have to minimize the program window that I'm working on in order to be able to see the window of the other program. I restarted my PC and when I start working on

    Almost surely caused by some program you have installed or a theme you have modified.

    You could also try using Clean Boot to see if you can find the cause that way.

    If no help, set it up again then create an image backup of the working system.
    Then make changes or install software one at a time and test. When you find the culprit, uninstall it and see if that fixes the problem. If not restore the image then make changes and install programs but leave out the one causing the problem.
