    Multiple restarts at intermittent frequency


    Hello, I recently installed a new motherboard, processor, and RAM. since I got the system up and running I have experienced multiple restarts at random time about 10 today so far. I have updated all drivers and done all windows updates that I am able to the kb5016616 update keeps erroring saying there are missing files Processor 12th Gen IntelR CoreTM i7-12700K 3.61 GHz Installed RAM 32.0 GB 31.8 GB usable System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Edition Windows 10 Pro Version 21H1 Installed on ‎8/‎18/‎2020 OS build 19043.1645 i have the mini dump files but i don'

    Who do I believe- CPU frequency monitoring software?

    The obvious question, how did you overclock?


    Different programs utilize different readings. Some utilize the minimum reported constant frequency. Some report the frequency dynamically, as speed stepping alters the frequency dynamically. Some report the maximum frequency measured.

    As there are different values monitored, all are "correct." As far as which one to trust, Intel's program was designed to show the information most beneficial. As such, if you want to know maximum frequency it isn't a bad place to start. If you want accurate dynamic frequency readings I suggest Speedfan.

    Intermittent Restart

    I already brought my laptop at the service center here in the Philippines. 'Cause the sound card was broken and an intermittent restart occurs 24/7.

    They replaced the motherboard, and reformatted my hard drive. They said the intermittent restart was already gone.

    But I think after it updated from the Windows Update 1709 the intermittent restart occurs again.
