  1. Multiple users account, randomly moving files from one drive to the one drive recycle bin

I have just checked in my desktop recycle bin and there are lots of files and folders that were not physically deleted in one drive and are being sent to the users recycle bin. I have to restore it from the recycle bin however this is occurring on multiple users.

    Recycle Bin on Flash drive

I have a flash drive I use on multiple PCs. When I work I may delete files (mostly photos). But if I move to another PC there is no recycle bin to restore the deleted files from.

It would be very nice to have a recycle bin on the flash so I have a continuity of work between PCs. I don't want to use 3rd party software to achieve what Windows already should do.

Is the a way to create a simple recycle bin on the flash drive?

  3. files copied to external drive are reflecting in recycle bin as well

while coping files from laptop to external drive, same files are reflecting in recycle bin. I have checked multiples times as well. As per my knowledge, only files which are deleted from user side, are to lay down in recycle bin.

Managing a recycle bin on an external drive

    Hi,

Your external hard drive has its own recycle bin folder where the deleted files from it are stored. In order to delete those deleted files, we need to access first the recycle bin folder of the external hard drive. Follow these steps:

    • Open File Explorer.
    • At the top menu, click View.
    • On the right pane, click Options > Change folder and search options.
    • In the Folder options window, click the View tab.
    • Under the Advanced settings, tick or select Show hidden files, folders, and drives.
    • Uncheck Hide protected operating system files.
    • Click Apply, then OK.

Once saved, try to access your external hard drive. Its recycle bin should now be visible. You may then open the recycle bin folder and delete the files inside it.

Let us know if you need further help.

    Regards.
