Windows 10: Music and Videos Folders Missing from the Updated OneDrive “Manage Backup” Function

I am running Windows 11 Home, 22H2 OS Build 22621.1105 on an HP Pavilion laptop mfr in Dec 2021 with 11th Gen IntelR CoreTM i7-1165G7 Hz and 16.0 GB RAM. The OneDrive Build is 23.011.0115.0009 64-bit. When I installed OneDrive on my laptop, I could only back up the Documents, Pictures and Desktop libraries using the OneDrive Backup feature which I did. The Manage Backup function presented me with the following interface. Because at the time I set up the laptop, I also wanted to back up my Music and Videos libraries to OneDrive, I manually copied not moved those 2 folders

OneDrive Video on PC backup/sync

I have Windows 10.

I have Office365 with OneDrive (1TB cloud storage).

In OneDrive, you can select Desktop, Documents, and/or Pictures for automatic backup and sync.

In File Explorer, under "This PC," I also have folders for Videos and Music.

Why is there no selection in the OneDrive settings to backup these folders?

How can I automatically backup the Videos and Music folders, that are on my PC not my device, to OneDrive?

 

Music Folder Behaving Badly in OneDrive

There is a possibility that the Music folder is synced to your OneDrive that is why any files deleted from either of the folders is synced to the other. For us to better assist you with the said folder, we'd like to ask for additional information:

• Can you please provide a screenshot of the Music folder from the OneDrive folder and home folder?
• What are the troubleshooting steps that you were advised to do?

In that case, it'll need to be done manually.

To do so:

1. Include the OneDrive Music and Videos folders to the corresponding Music and Videos library.
2. Set these included folders as your default save location for the library.
