    I'm finally trying Win 10 on my new laptop and when installing I discovered the 'n' version. Great, I thought, I don't have to install all that windows media stuff I don't use! Then I tried to connect my android devices and although everything looks fine, they don't show up for file transfer in Win 10.

    Googling solutions I tried everything except installing Media Feature Pack but to no avail. Do I really have to install the whole thing just for that one driver (wpdmtp.inf)? I can't find it online and trying to use the one from my Win 7 didn't work of course.

    Has anyone successfully connected their android with (file transfer) without having WMP installed?

    Problem with Media Feature Pack.

    When I follow these steps Media Features are not listed, despite having downloaded and installed the Windows Media Feature Pack! Please help! Can't install GTA: V! Aaaargh!

    Problem with Media Feature Pack.

    I seem to be running into similair issues. After the update, features reliant on the Media Pack stopped functioning correctly, so I reinstalled the pack, which did not have any effect. After following your steps, I noticed that the Media Feature Pack was
    not even listed as a feature on my PC. Further help would be highly appreciated!
