    just reformatted my pc, but just wondering do i need to manually install the chipset driver in intel website? or will windows update do it all for me?

    side note: any other drivers i need to manually install after my reformat?

    How do you uninstall chipset drivers?

    I'm installing a new mobo so I need to uninstall the intel 865g drivers to make way for the P35 drivers.

    Can't find any uninstall options in add/remove programs and intel chipset inst listed in driver cleaner.

    Any suggestions? *Confused Must I manually install Chipset driver after reformat? :confused:

    Laptop driver/reformat question

    This is excellent advice. Writing down the list of installed devices prior to re-formatting will save you a lot of heartache. With that list, you won't have to try to figure out exactly which wireless card or web cam driver you need since there will likely be several to choose from.

    Installing chipset drivers important?

    yes, they are. the OS can run with generic ones from OS install, but will usually tell you in "action Center" that chipset drivers need to be installed if you don't do it manually as well.
