Windows 10: Mute, Volume + and Volume - button all working to MUTE volume.

My laptop Lenovo Thinkpad has the mute, volume + and volume - button all working to MUTE volume. When I press Volume + it mutes it. When I press Volume - it mutes it too. I've tried remapping keys, I've updated all audio and keyboard drivers too. How do I make the Volume +/- actually adjust the volume and not just mute?

Windows will now mute volume

I am currently running windows 10. Whenever I use my keyboard to mute volume, my volume just jumps from whatever the volume is at to 100 and then back when i try to click mute again. the volume indicator jumps to 100 but the volume of sound does not increase
or decrease. All other multifunctional keys for sound work fine such as mute mic, increase or decrease volume. Just not mute volume. Not sure what is going on.

 

Volume stuck on Mute

I have windows 7. I have done nothing to change anything but suddenly the volume is stuck on mute. I can't even access the volume key. Suggestions. I have tried going to the control panel and that did not work either.

 

Volume Mixer not showing muted app

I do not have an audio problem in the context of "Audio is not playing". The problem is in the fact that Volume Mixer will not show a muted app. This issue has been around since Windows 7.

If you mute an application, it will not show up in Volume Mixer next time you start it. Is there any way I could find the settings for muted applications and change those to 'unmuted'?
