I've tried a hard reset. I have tried pulling out the ram and placing them back in place. Tried removing all usb's and other sources. No luck. The PC continues to blue screen without text and no mouse cursor the shuts down.

  2. My laptop only turns on when I jumpstart it with the charger and press the power button multiple times

My laptop is 10 years old (Acer Aspire V5-573). The battery life (that should last around 6 hours) became poor over the past few years and it would die within 2 hours unless I had the charger plugged in. Ever since, I always used the laptop with the charger plugged in. However I recently replaced the battery with a new one and now the laptop is lasting up to 7.5 hours without the charger being plugged in.

However the problem I have noticed before and after I replaced the battery, is that my laptop would not turn on when I pressed the power button the first time, even when the battery was 100%. It would still not turn on when I connected the charger. It only turns on when I jump start it with the charger. The following are the steps I take to get the laptop to turn on:

    1. Ensure the laptop is charged 50% or more.
    2. Ensure laptop is unplugged from charger.
    3. Press the power button. This would cause the power light to blink. However the laptop will not turn on.
    4. Press the power button again. Power light does not blink this time. However when I connect the charger to the laptop, then when I press the power button, the power light does blink. When I press the power button again this time, the power light does blink and most of the time, it blinks each time I attempt to press the power button until the laptop finally turns on. Otherwise I disconnect and reconnect the charger. When the power light blinks, I sometimes have to press the power button more then 50 times, sometimes 20, sometimes 12 times, sometimes 9 times, sometimes 4 times, sometimes 2 times or 1 time before the laptop turns on. So it is random, but average 12 times.
Note that when I replaced the main battery, I replaced the CR2032 3v CMOS battery too, but it has not changed anything. I don't think there is a problem with the power button itself either, because it does eventually turn on the laptop and I can use the power button to shut down the laptop with ease.

    Any else had this issue?

Trouble with turning on PC by pressing power button

I am having some trouble with starting the PC since the last few days.
Maybe somebody can give an advice. *Smile My 1 year old was pressing my power button multiple times and now the PC boots to a blank... :)
My own analysis leads me somehow to believe that the PSU is having problems.

Here is the description of the issue.
PC does not want to start by pressing the Power button on PC Case or even the power button that is on the mainboard. The different RGB LEDs on the mainboard would be on, but pressing the Power button does nothing. It simply does not start at all.

I have to flip the power switch located on the PSU halfway through multiple time before it starts.
The power switch on PSU or something else with it seems to be having a problem.
Maybe my 4.5 year old Bequiet! Dark Power Pro 10 1200W is starting to die. *Frown My 1 year old was pressing my power button multiple times and now the PC boots to a blank... :(

Once I get it to turn on by flipping PSU switch multiple times, then the system runs very stable without any issue.
I had many lengthy gaming sessions up to 5 hours in a row playing Witcher 3, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Battlefield 1 without it ever giving me any issues.
I have run benchmarks on the CPU and GPU to try to stress the PSU but no problems there.

I have also disabled Fast Startup as I thought that it could be one that is causing issues but it did not help.
I have also updated bios to the latest and reset it by removing the battery but it also did not help.
I also disconnected multiple USB devices as I read that attached USB devices could be another cause for such problems.

The i7 7700K is not overclocked.
The Vega 64 is running in undervolting mode at 1075mV with a 2.5% overclock.
I changes it in Wattman to default setting but it seems Vega is not to be blamed for boot up issues.

Only thing that helps is that I have to press the PSU switch halfway through multiple time for PC to start. *Bang Head :banghead:
