  1. My 1080 can go up to 4k for some reason

I have options to go higher in resolution for my 1080p display, and since I have this option any new game would use highest resolution and cause it to bug out.Is there a way to just remove the higher resolution instead.

    :)

    Combining a 4k and 2 1080 monitors in windows 10

Is there a solution by now for the scaling problem when using a 4k and a (in my case 2) 1080 monitor(s)?

I found 4 options, but all with some fairly big downsides.

The main problem is that the advised dpi scaling for a 4k is 150% and for a 1080 is 100%. I would think that anyone can calculate that there is a big difference in actual size with regards to dpi to pixel ratio. Obviously a 4k would need a 2 to 1 ratio to
    a 1080. So 150% and 100% don't really work.

Solutions that are not really satisfactory:

    1. In the current default setting icons, fonts and menu's in applications are very big and fuzzy on my 1080 monitors (27 inch), but very good on my 4k monitor.

    2. Setting the scaling on the 4k monitor to 200% which results in matching the pixel to dpi ratio. This results in everything being ridiculously big on my 4k monitor (32 inch) and still leaves me with fuzzy fonts on my 1080's.

    3. Using a registry hack to set dpi lower than default, 96 to 72 for example which would give me the option to virtually choose 75% for my 1080's and 150% for my 4k monitor, but then windows 10 doesn't let me set the dpi scaling for any monitor (grayed out).

    4. Using nvidia settings to emulate 4k on my 1080's which works to some degree, the ratio's match, but this gives me a fuzzy result on the 1080's.

What I would actually need is being able to set the 1080's to 75% and leave the 4k on 150%. This matches the ratios, would most likely give me a sharper image on the 1080's and have all the sizes of fonts, icons and menu's to a good size, but windows 10
    doesn't give me this option.

    Anyone found a solution? Microsoft?

    Thanks,

    Erik

4k monitor VS 1080 monitor issues

I have been using a 1080 144hz monitor for gaming for the past 6 months now and have been playing overwatch at 60frames CONSTANTLY (never any dips). I recently decided to get a second monitor that was 4k and 60hz. Upon setting it up and running overwatch,
i noticed thatupon entering a game, i received less than 30fps per game. The settings were not touched on neither overwatch NOR my 4k monitor. I'm confused as to how it runs slower on my newer, more expensive monitor. The overwatch settings were still 1080
settings and the game was still in full screen (as to how it was on my other monitor). I'm curious as to why overwatch runs slower on my 4k monitor compared to my 1080 monitor. Both are ASUS branded running windows 10 (i even played a game on my 1080 monitor
just to see if it was my computer but it seemed to be the game) Any idea as to why? Are my settings not fit for the monitor? i know it's not completely windows related however I'm a bit new at building PC's so i was wondering why this might happen.

My 1080 can go up to 4k for some reason

    4K and 1080 Monitors problem...

I purchased a 4K monitor and also have a 1080 monitor on my system.

I have set the size of text, apps and other items in the Display options on the 4k monitor at 150% so its readable, at 100% the text is very small.

I have set the 1080 monitor at 100%.

The problem is when the 4K monitor is set to 150%, and the 1080 monitor to 100%, anything on the 1080 monitor looks a little blurred. The size of the text etc is the same as normal, just blurred.

Now when I set the 4K monitor too 100% and the 1080 monitor to 100%, anything on the 1080 monitor looks fine and sharp.

Has anyone else had this problem? if so how did the resolve the issue?

Thanks in advance My 1080 can go up to 4k for some reason :)
