    My 1TB TOSHIBA hard drive does not read in my Windows 11 computer.


    My Toshiba Canvio Basics 3.0 1 TB Portable Hard Drive model number: HDTB210XK3BA does not read on my Windows 11 computer. My Macbook Pro reads TOSHIBA's contents without any issues, but my PC can't. By the way, when I mean by "my computer does not read the hard drive", I mean that it doesn't pop up as one of the drives in file explorer. I can't access the files in my TOSHIBA. However, it does show up as Disk 2 when I open Disk Management. My USB driver is the newest version, and I already uninstalled and reinstalled the external hard drive through Device Manager. What is happening?

    Toshiba Ext Hard Drive

    Since upgrading to Windows 10 my system won't recognise my external hard drive. Worked fine on Windows 8 .It is a Toshiba 1Tb basic. Any suggestions would be most appreciated as their are many family photos involved.

    Toshiba HDTD210XS3e1 Canvio Slim II Portable Hard Drive 1tb.

    I have a Toshiba HDTD210XS3e1 Canvio Slim II Portable Hard Drive 1tb. It shows on my computer under USB drives and says it is working ok. But when I plug it into the computer the PASSWORD screen log in box does not come up so I can sign and open my files.
    It also does not show under my file explorer where it was listed as f drive. I have an Acer Aspire Computer with a Celeron CPU, 2 GHz, 4 GB ram, 64 bit, with windows 10 home. I have tried Toshiba site for drivers it only shows me one for a Mac OSX. lol.
    I have talked to Toshiba for about an hour they said it was because of your last update and they are right it stopped working about two hours after the update and even after taking that update off it still does not work. They "Toshiba" said it was because
    you at Microsoft did not send them the info they needed to build a workaround for the new windows 10 updater so they could build a patch. Note the Toshiba HDTD210XS3e1 Canvio Slim II Portable Hard Drive has worked on this computer for 3 years with no prob.
    and for over a year with windows 10, I have done nothing or added anything to the Computer. just do updates. HELP!!!!! FIXED!!!!!!!! IT WAS THE WINDOWS 10 UPDATE AND TOSHIBA MADE A NEW PASSWORD PATCH FOR IT! THANK YOU
    TOSHIBA!!!!!!!!

    Whats a good free imaging/cloning program? I have a 1TB hard drive with Win7 and I want to seamlessly migrate my stuff to a 2TB hard drive. Any suggestions?
