My 2.0 USB port is considered 3.0 ? How to fix this?

my keyboard and mouse has errorcode 24 i believe, i mean it worksbut randomly is stops working for a moment(at least my mouse). And i went to troubleshoot the 2 devices and it keeps telling me to change to 2.0 usb port, which i did ,and they were there to begin with, but it does not fix this error.
    What i tried so far:~
    driver updates
    windows clean installation
    buying a new mouse
    anti-virus

    :)

how do u update from usb 2 to usb 3

    Hi,

USB 3.0 devices are backward compatible with USB 2.0. Therefore your USB 3.0 flash drive should work connected

to your USB 2.0 PC. (It will only work at USB 2.0 specs, but it should work.)

The only way to get USB 3.0 ports on a notebook, laptop, tablet PC is to buy a system that already has USB 3.0 ports.

Desktop PC motherboards that only come with USB 2.0 ports can usually be upgraded to USB 3.0 by simply installing

a USB 3.0 PCI add in card to one of the motherboards available PCI slots (or buying a new Desktop motherboard

    with USB 3.0 ports.)

However, if you don't mind the much slower USB 2.0 performance your USB 3.0 Flash drive will have it should still

be detected & work connected to your USB 2.0 PC. This is a hardware issue, no update or software alone can

change a USB 2.0 port into a USB 3.0 port.

  3. 3.0 usb not compatible with 2.0 usb printer

I have this problem and did the troubleshooter and it still came up with the USB 3.0 and to plug it into a USB 2.0 port. How do I fix this? How do I know which port is 2.0 and 3.0 or for the pc to solve this problem? ty

My 2.0 USB port is considered 3.0 ? How to fix this?

Check colour of usb port divider - if it is black, port is usb2, if it is blue, it is usb3.

Try something.....no guarantee. Go to Device Manager. Check the option up top to "Show hidden devices". Go down to Portable Devices and expand it. See if you show any non-connected greyed-out devices. If so, delete (uninstall) them. Reboot.

  12. I just checked for hidden devices on my computer and I do not get an expanded list of hidden devices of either the mouse or the keyboard.

I don't know if this makes sense but is it possible to uninstall or delete each one of the hidden devices of the mouse and the keyboard?
--- Why would there be a number of hidden mouse & keyboard devices?

I don't know if this makes a difference, but I'm on a laptop so I wouldn't expect to see the keyboard to show any hidden devices, on the mouse I did use a wired mouse once but now use a wireless mouse.
