My WD 2.0TB Harddisk is not showing up on Windows Explorer as an externally connected harddisk. In Windows Disk Management, it is showing up as: Healthy GPT Protective Partition, Disk 5 Basic 16388.00GB, Onlinesee picture. No drive letter, and the window to assign drive-letters is grayed-out see picture, whilst the internal drives in the computer are showing their respective drive-letters, also on Windows Explorer. The harddisk is from a previous computer, win10, and was 100% working fine till I moved to a new computer, win11, with exclusively SSDs.The WD 2.0TB Harddisk was only for data

My new HDD is not showing up on disk manager, but shows up in BIOs

I tried doing that and the 4TB HDD (which would be disk 2 in this case) is not showing up in the disk list, just the first 2 disks aka disk 0 and disk 1

how would i do the rest of the steps if the HDD isn't in the CMD list disk at all?

Disk Management shows HDD but Explorer doesn't

Yes. I've assigned a drive letter Z to the HDD (disk 1) but WFM still doesn't recognize it.

To assist you better, I would like to ask some questions:

• How are you connecting the HDD Caddy?
• What is the make and model of your computer?

If you are connecting the device using USB, I suggest you to check if other USB devices are recognized as USB devices or Other device. If it is displaying as other device, then the issue might be with the USB port. So, I suggest you to update the USB drivers
by following the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X, select Device Manager.
• Expand Universal Serial Bus Controller.
• Right click on the drive, select Update Driver Software and follow the on-screen prompts.
