Windows 10: My 2-in-1 Laptop won't automatically turn into tablet mode.

Hello guys. I have a 2-in-1 Laptop (see My System Specs) and I believe that it is not automatically turning into tablet mode when I remove it from the Keyboard Dock. Have any ideas why this is so?

Also, I don't know if this could be the cause of the problem:




Two keyboards and mice, which are exactly identical to each other (checked their driver version etc.)

Thanks for the reply, but having the keyboard automatically displayed is selected. My issue is that I cannot access the keyboard easily when I use a remote desktop session in tablet mode. This kind of defeats the purpose of trying to use a 2-in-1, in tablet
mode, for this purpose. Laptop 1 Tablet 0.

Maybe Microsoft can add this functionality in a update in the future. I guess I will have to use my 2-in-1 as a laptop only.

My ASUS R554LA 2 in 1 laptop will not automatically switch to tablet mode when its flipped into a tablet. I have already tried fiddling with display settings. It was working before I replaced my hard drive with an SSD and re installed windows.

 

There typically has to be a special driver installed to detect when you change modes. Did you clean install Windows 10? You may need to get that driver from your manufacturer.

 

I don't know what driver is responsible for the detection of the mode change. And I believe I have all drivers installed. I just don't know which driver is responsible so I could check if it got wacky.

 

Unfortunately, the driver could be called anything. The manufacturer is in control over what it calls things. You should contact the support team for your manufacturer.
