Windows 10: My 86 year old mother's 5-yr old Dell Inspiron suddenly has Windows 11 and it is a mess

Nothing is where she is used to it being, which is a serious problem for someone that age, and it is so sluggish as to be effectively unresponsive. I thought I had automatic updates turned off on her laptop, but obviously I didn't. She didn't apparently use it for a week or so, so we are way past the regret date. I'd like to understand how this happened, to hopefully prevent future mishaps. What are the possible scenarios that could have led to this ie she accidentally clicked something she shouldn't have, or MS just did it automatically, and is there anything I can do to reverse it? Currently updates cannot be permanently disabled, now what you can do is pause Windows Update updates, however when the pause time is reached Windows Update will look for new updates;

As the 10 days have passed to downgrade to Windows 10 you will have to manually reinstall Windows 10;

If you want to reinstall Windows 10, follow the steps below;

Note: if you have important personal files, save them in the cloud or on an external device;

Steps for creating Windows 10 installation media;

You will need a USB stick with more than 4GB;

Download the tool according to the installed Windows 10 architecture. On here: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=691209

Run the downloaded setup and click Create installation media for another computer;

Select the Language, then select the edition and architecture according to the installed Windows 10;

Connect the Pen Drive;

Click Next;

Select the USB Flash Drive option and click Next;

Click Finish;

Keep the flash drive connected to the PC and restart;

Start from the pendrive (Usually key F8 or F12, it will depend on the manufacturer);

The installation window will appear;

Follow the instructions until you reach "What kind of installation do you want?";

Select the Custom option;

Select the main drive and click Format;

Select the main drive and click Next to start the installation;

After the end of the installation, make all pending updates on Windows Update;

When the update for Windows 11 appears on Windows Update, try to hide the update using the Microsoft tool:

Open the app and click Next;

Click Hide Updates;

Select the update you want to hide and click Next;

Close the app;

Now the upgrade to Windows 11 should not show up;

Internet Explorer 11 Synced Very Old Favorites ( 5 Yrs. ago items )

Hi People,

I were troubleshooting IE11 in my end user's PC. Issue is after resetting IE11, added Favorites bar.

In that Favorites bar, IE11 synced very old Favorites that includes 5 yrs of favorites. Due to this more than 1000 of Favs mingled with recent ones.

Please suggest me troubleshooting steps to follow.
