My account is linked to my childs birthday and is browsing on a locked browser of age 4 an i need to change this

Not Tracking Web Browsing Activity on Child Account

Hello,

I had already read that article and tried all those steps mentioned before posting on this forum. Nothing worked. I am still not able to see the web activity on my child's account.

I have already verified that the Family Safety Service is connected to my PC and that my child has the PC listed as a device on their account. My child's account is listed as "child" on my PC account settings. When I sign into the child's account, I have
verified that Family Safe Monitoring is running because the icon is in the task bar.

This response was not helpful, because as I stated in my original post, I had already read several articles on troubleshooting this issue and nothing worked.

Can you offer me other suggestions that are not mentioned in that Wiki Article?

 

Change age of "child" back to adult

My email account (which has existed for literally decades) recently spontaneously changed to have its age (birth date) be that of a 4-year old (i.e., child), and as a result I am now locked out of my ability to do certain things due to the family/parental controls. I would like to remove the account from any "Family" services and change the age back to my actual (adult) age, so that I can use the account normally again.

At the suggestion of various MS help folks that I communicated with, I have tried adding a new dummy account to the same "family", but doing so did not expose any options for changing the age of the supposed "child" account. I have also tried various links to profile editing pages provided by support staff, in hopes of changing my age directly, but on such pages the age was unfortunately locked, i.e., not an editable field.

I corresponded at length with Microsoft Support via chat, and they directed me to post a question here, with the promise that a moderator would get back to me with the appropriate course of action. Hopefully you can help me!

The issue might be due to the age verification, hence I suggest you to verify the child’s age by logging in with child’s account on
account.microsoft.com/family and verify the age.
