Windows 10: My account says it does not exist but I am logged into it on my computer and I can access...

This happened around the time I logged into office with my school email since they include that subscription in tuition. I didn't realize it until I went to check my Minecraft account and when I went to re-login it says the account does not exist. I've looked up many forums and problems but nothing has helped. When I try to login with pins and other things it says to email to a different email that isn't mine and maybe that's the problem. But why can I still access my computer and Office with the account?

Strange Windows 10 User Account issue.

Unfortunately I had done those steps numerous reboots, it just, reappears for no good reason. The base account isn't even a Microsoft account, it's a local account.

I haven't quite tried the built in administrator account on W10, but so far in my experience on my own computer, the built in account seemed to have absolutely no more control than I did on my own.

It's just strange, I go in, it warns me twice about deleting the account, then it's gone. Reboot, and it's back?

EDIT: Just to specify, both command line and Netplwiz both say only HIS account exists on the computer, it doesn't list this rogue account. This is what I meant in my first post about the fact that even Windows doesn't seem to believe it exists, HALF the time. *Frown

This issue might be due to some error in system settings.

If you have not yet tried the below steps, I suggest you to perform and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to log out from the current user account, restart the computer and log-in with the administrator account and check if you are able to access the local drivers.

Step 2: I suggest you to place the computer in safe mode, try to log-in with administrator account and check if the issue persists.

Switch Back to Existing Local Account from Microsoft Account

I suggest that you follow the steps below and check if you can log into your computer using the Local Account.

• • On the Search Bar type “User Account”.
  • On the right menu pane locate and click “Make changes to my account in this PC”.
  • Then locate and click on “Sign in With a Local Account instead”.
  • And follow on screen instructions.
