My account shows on the website my subscription for Xbox and office has expired, including the Xbox app show it expired and on Windows 11 Setting Account show it is not expired. what going on? Still getting charged for both subscriptions.

Change subscription plans

You can switch subscription plans for Xbox Live, Game Pass, and Office 365.

To change your subscription recurrence (for example, from monthly to yearly):

Sign in to your Services & subscriptions with your Microsoft account.

Find the subscription in the list.

Select Manage > Change > Switch, and then choose your new recurrence. If you don't see this option, make sure recurring billing is on.

My personal subscription has expired and have been added to a family subscription. I have no access to Office 365. How do I activate office in the family subscription?

My subscription expired. I had been added to a family subscription before it expired. I expected it to roll over into the family subscription. I can see my profile in the family subscription but I have no access to Office 365. When I go to packages and subriptions in my account it offers me a new subscription package. When I follow other prompts like signing into Office 365 it keeps going back to setting up Office. I left it running overnight it still didn't finish.

 

Microsoft Subscription payment

Microsoft explains on the Xbox website (Learn About Gift Cards and Codes) that Xbox gift cards can be used to buy:

• Subscriptions including Xbox Live Gold, Xbox Game Pass, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate
• Popular games, apps, and add-ons (Here, the word 'popular' means 'available in Microsoft Store'.)
• Latest movies and the hottest TV shows (again, from Microsoft Store)
• Accessories and devices like Xbox One and Surface

In addition, you should be aware that a Microsoft account is free and Word is not available by itself as a subscription. You can only subscribe to the full Microsoft Office, which in my opinion is a mighty good deal.
