    Hello,

    I have recently bought a Windows Mixed Reality Acer AH101 in new condition (stickers still present and no usage mark).

    I have followed the guidelines from the Enthusiasts guide but I am stuck when trying to setup the headset through Mixed Reality Portal with this error message :

    Something went wrong

    We're not sure what's up, but this error code should help: 1-8.

    I have tried multiple things like :

    - Updated Windows with Windows Update until there is no more new update (optional included)

    - Reset Windows 10 to 22H2

    - Clean installation to Windows 10 22H2

    - Updated Nvidia driver to latest

    - Updated HoloLens driver to latest

    My setup is :

    Windows 10.0.19045 Build 19045

    Laptop Dell G15 5510

    Intel Core i7-10870H

    RTX 3060 (1 HDMI port)

    16 Go RAM

    3 USB 3.1 ports

    Bluetooth

    Acer AH101 - plugged in one of my 3 USB 3.1 ports (I have tried all 3 with same error) and the HDMI plugged directly to the RTX 3060.

    I am not using a secondary monitor and the laptop monitor is setup to 1920*1080 at 60 Hz.

    The headset is present in Device Manager. All 3 components are present :

    Mixed Reality device - Acer AH101 (driver 10.0.19041.2054)

    Monitors - Mixed Reality headset (driver 10.0.19041.2054)

    Universal Serial Bus devices - HoloLens Sensors (driver 10.0.19041.2054)

    I have tried past versions of the HoloLens and Nvidia drivers but it didn't change anything.

    I will install Windows 11 Insider Preview 10.0.22631.1835 (ni_release) to see if it helps.

    I have checked this message board and others but with no luck when trying to adopt the solution proposed.

    Could someone please help me ?

    I keep getting this error for Windows Mixed Reality

    Check your display cable

    Make sure your display cable is plugged in correctly (it is) Error Code 1-4

    I’ve tried restarting my PC unplugging it and plugging it back in and nothing works, Any fix?
