Windows 10: My acer Monitor running Windows 10 + Radeon Settings Flashes on and off completely

Hello, I am Windows 10 User who has Radeon Settings and an acer monitor. I have always checked my cables to check for damages and correctly plugged outlets but everything looks fine, but when I am playing games, sometimes the screen goes completely black for a few seconds and then back to the game. This has been bugging me for a long time and I have checked for viruses or anything but nothing shows up and all the tutorials are either not related to my problem or out of date. Someone please tell me what do as I would love for this to stop. Thanks.

I understand that you are seeing multiple System Tray icons for Radeon application. We will certainly assist you with this issue.

Usually, we have seen this issue with certain versions of Radeon application. However, if you want to disable this from System Tray you can try the following methods.



Method 1: Using Taskbar Settings.

• Right-click any empty space on the taskbar, and then select
  Taskbar settings.
• Under “Notification area” label click on “Select which icons appear on the taskbar”
• You can turn off the Radeon application in the list, which will in turn hide the Radeon System Tray icon.

Method 2: Use Radeon app preferences to remove the icon from System Tray.



I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned in

How to Enable the AMD Radeon Settings System Tray Icon

In preferences section uncheck “Enable System Tray” option.



If there are multiple instances of Radeon running under Processes tab in Task Manager, I would recommend you to update the Radeon application from
AMD support.
