Windows 10: my Acer One 110-ICT does not support the Microphone

when I am on a Zoom call.can you tell me what my settings should be so that I can activly participate in a family Zoom call?

I understand your concern and will assist you to resolve this issue.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps

Method 1: I suggest you to set microphone as default device and check.

• 
  Right click on the volume icon in the system tray and then click "Recording devices"
  
• 
  Right click on the blank space in the popped up window and then select "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices".
  
• 
  Right click on Microphone and then click "Enable".
  
• 
  Highlight the microphone and then choose "Set as Default Device".
  
• 
  Click Apply and OK.
  

Step 2: Make sure that the Microphone is not disabled.

• 
  Make sure that the Microphone is not disabled. Follow the steps given to check that:
  
• 
  Right click on the volume icon and select “Recording devices”.
  
• 
  Now, Right Click on an empty space and select, “Show disconnected devices” and “Show disabled devices”.
  
• 
  Make sure that the Microphone is not disabled.
  

And also update the audio drivers from the manufacturer web site and install.

This issue usually happens due to some incorrect audio settings or outdated audio drivers in the computer. If the audio drivers were not updated from the Acer website, then you may follow these steps and check the issue.

I suggest you to run the Hardware and device troubleshooter and check.

• 
  Type “troubleshooting” in the search box and click on
  troubleshooter
  
• 
  In the left pane, click on View all
  

Now click on Hardware and device and follow the on screen instruction

If the issue still persists, update the drivers through device manager and check if it helps.

• 
  Open Device Manager by pressing
  Windows key + X.
  
• 
  In Device Manager, locate the device to update, and then double-click the device name.
  
• 
  Click on the Drivers tab, and then click Update Driver and follow the instructions.
  
• 
  IF you do not find the drivers then try
  

I suggest you to visit your manufacture’s website (Acer) to download the drivers for touchpad and microphone.

After you download the drivers, run them in Compatible mode for Windows 8.1

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
