My Acronis Back-up software isn't able to backup my C:drive. It keeps 'calculating...

My Acronis Back-up software isn't able to backup my C:/drive. It keeps 'calculating remaining time' for hours and days without starting the back-up job. Other drives can be handled by ACRONIS - unfortunately the ACRONIS system is blocked to handle other drives as the issue with the C:/ drive is putting every other back-up job in an endless queue. Somebody from the ACRONIS team told me, that the 'mapping system' at my Windows isn't working properly. I run windows troubleshooting - nothing critical was found. What can I do?

    :)

  2. System BACKUP Faled with REBOOT with ACRONIS

    Hello Andersen,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I understand that you are unable to make a backup using the Acronis software. This software is not designed by Microsoft so it is suggested to contact them if you are facing any issues with the third party software.

    Refer: ACRONIS Forum

Hope it helps. Keep us posted to help you better if you are facing further issues in Windows.

After 8+ hours , it stops and gives the "out of space" message. It is just a file without a name but just sitting in the location of where the backed up file should be.
I just tried a backup of a hard drive with 740GB which Acronis times to be finished in just over 4-hours. It due that backup, just stopped during the process.
A suggestion was given that I do a chkdsk /f on my SSD, but ihas been so long that I did that, I looked for a step-by step and could not find it on the web Could you direct me to a location or tell me how to do it?

System BACKUP Faled with REBOOT with ACRONIS

    I use´ACRONIS to make backup.

I just cleen up the c-drive with windows 10.

I boot my system with a bootable UNIX-version of ACRONIS, version 2013, and in the midtle af the backup, it stops and my desktop close down.

I have done exatly the same with another version 2014 of ACRONIS, with same result.

    What happens ?
