Windows 10: my airpod is not "connected voice ,music"

    Airpods Connect and Immediately Disconnect

    I am having issues connecting my Airpods to my Surface laptop with Windows 10. I can successfully pair the airpods, but when I try to connect them, they immediately disconnect. When they are briefly connected, it doesn't read "voice, music" and I am unable
    to get sound. They often connect and disconnect automatically and for brief intervals.

    I am occasionally able to connect them with voice and music, but it is apparently random. Once they are connected properly, I have no more issues until I disconnect them manually.

    Has anybody experienced this issue, or can anybody offer a solution?

    Thanks Dan. I cant understand why this solution worked, but it did work !

    At first I thought given the airpods are already connected why should that be the case - as i could hear the music but voice was a problem. Nevertheless I took my bluetooth dongle out and fixed it again. paired my airpods again and it worked.

    So I can easily connect my airpods to my Windows Desktop 10 but it wont connect to sound! It says Connected, Voice and Music but I need it to connect to SOUND so I can watch YouTube and play Roblox!!
