Windows 10: My alwup headset with mic included wont let me talk through it.

The titles a little confusing but, someone of family bought me a alwup headset with mic included that was compatible for ps4,pc, and xboxfor a little back story. I used it for ps4 till it stopped working and I used it on my laptop which the built in mic and headphones worked perfectly on laptop, until I bought a Acer pc back in 2021 it never would let me speak and it wouldn't even recognize the microphone as a separate thing! I've checked the sounds and it only registers as "speakers" what and how do I make the mic work?

What is the brand/model of the headset mic combo?

What front panel audio jack(s) do you have? Some are only mic or only headset, some can be either mic or headset whichever is plugged in and some are combination headset/mic.

 

Corsair Void Headset - No MIC Audio

I have a Corsair VOID USB gaming headset and for some reason since switching to Windows 10, I can't get the MIC to work. I can hear fine, but can't talk. It worked fine on Windows 7, and works fine on another computer.

I have the latest drivers and control software installed from Corsair, and if I really fiddle with it I am able to get the MIC audio to work in my DAW (Ableton Live 10 sound recording software), but it won't work anywhere else like Skype, which is really where I need it.

Any suggestions?

 

Gaming Headset mic wont work

I have a Turtle Beach pc compatible gaming headset plugged into my laptop, and I can hear sound perfectly fine, but my mic wont work at all.
