Windows 10: My Asus Laptop automatically turns off when I lift it up.

I bought this ASUS X515 laptop +3 years ago then this happened a week ago or so. It randomly turned off it was already on when I lifted/picked it up to move my laptop on a different spot. I started to worry and placed my laptop back on my desk and tried to turn it back on then suddenly it booted up like before and I thought it was fine. I thought so.. well apparently not when I lifted my laptop once again to try, it will automatically turns it self off then turns on right again but it keeps failing, repeating to turning off and on but then suddenly it booted up an automatic repair. I pressed

Unable to disable automatic power on when laptop lid is lifted

I recently got a new laptop [Samsung]. It comes with the Windows 10 system. Everything seems to be working, but whenever I shut down the computer then close the lid, next time I lift the lid, the computer powers on automatically.



I have read that this is because the Windows 10 shut down option doesn’t actually shut the computer down, and I have tried the few suggestions I have seen for changing this.



1. I turned off “Fast Startup”

2. I disabled hibernation.



However, it is still happening! It is driving me crazy because I don’t want my computer to turn on just because I lift the lid. It is highly inconvenient.



I have been doing almost nothing but researching this problem ever since I got the laptop. It is driving me nuts. If anyone has an answer, please help!

 

laptop doesnt boot automatically

This is what happened.

1. Did a repair install and later disabled hibertnate in CMD.
2. Enabled legacy option ROM in BIOS.
3. After a few times startup ( i used the system in such mode for 5 days), changed boot option back to default.
4. Vola!! It boots automatically to win10 without any keypress. Tested it with many starts to confirm the same.
5. Re-enabled hibernate option using CMD and later selected Fast Startup.
6. System booted normally, without the need for any keypress.

I do not know exactly whether such steps resolved the problem or what else happened, hence cannot suggest above steps.
