Windows 10: My Asus Laptop will randomly go to sleep roughly every 10 minutes

I just recently bought the ROG Scar Edition laptop and haven't had any issues with it until now. The laptop will randomly go to sleep every 10 minutes. I've tried doing setting all the power settings stuff to never and still doesn't do anything. I looked through event viewer and it popped up with this.

I've tried looking around but cannot find anything about how to fix the problem.

Windows 10 ASUS Laptop going to sleep after 2 minutes

I've been having an issue with my ASUS laptop (ASUS N56JN-EB71) where it will automatically go to sleep after 2 minutes if it's been idle. This started happening when I upgraded from Windows 8.1 and even when I did a clean install of Windows 10. It never
happened in Windows 8.1. I have messed with the power settings and have adjusted the sleep minutes and even disabled sleep but it will still happen. I also disabled hibernation yesterday and it fixed the issue temporarily but it started happening again today.

I looked in Event Viewer and this is the only relevant message I could find. There weren't any errors I could find.

"The system is entering sleep.

Sleep Reason: System Idle"

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

 

Windows 10 - laptop goes to sleep after a minute

since upgrading to Win10 I have this strange problem that occurs pretty much randomly, I have set sleep mode to kick-in after 25 minutes of inactivity, which works most of the time, but sometimes my laptop goes to sleep just after 1 or 2 minutes, I have
ASUS G750JM

this didn't happen with windows 8.1 (I didn't update the OS, so it might happen in later versions, who knows) so looks like it's a Win10 issue

I'm running fully-updated clean-installation of Win10

 

Laptop goes to sleep randomly while playing games

Hi,

If your laptop randomly goes to Sleep mode while you're playing, then this may have something to do with the Power options. Try to check if your laptop is set to Sleep mode after a certain minute. Just simply go to Settings, click System, then select Power
& sleep. You can also check the Additional power settings.

Now, if it's still the same after you changed the Power settings, then we suggest that you contact the device manufacturer.
