Windows 10: My audio devices won't pick up when i plug them into my pc.

I have bought new speakers and a new computer but I have no audio. My computer doesn't have any drivers. my headphones don't work when I plug them into my computer but when I plug them into my ps5 controller thats connected they work. I don't know why it won't work but I need to fix it

Hello John, thank you for taking the time to respond to my problem. After going through the list of things you suggested the problem still persists unfortunately, and the only sound my pc seems to pick up on is me plugging and unplugging my mic, do you have any ideas as to what I could try next?

The issue could be because of the internal mic picking up sound even when the external device is pluuged in. If you have the RealTek HD Audi Manager installed on the machine, I would suggest you to try the steps listed below and check if it works for
you.

• Open RealTek HD Audio Manager and go to the
  Advanced tab.
  
• Check the boxes Separate all input jacks as independent input devices
  and Mute the internal output device, when external headphone is plugged in,
  and hit OK.
  
• Exit RealTek HD Audio Manager, restart the machine and see if the issue persists.

AUDIO SERVICE NOT WORKING.

Hi,

In that case, I suggest you follow below.

Step 1:

In the search box on the taskbar, type device manager, then select it from the results.

Step 2:

Select the arrow next to Sound, video and game controllers to expand it.

Step 3:

Look for IDT High Definition Audio CODEC. If it's listed, right-click it and select Update Driver, then select Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

Step 4:

You’ll see a list of pre-installed drivers. Select High Definition Audio Device, and then select Next.

Step 5:

Restart PC
