my audio interface which i recently bought named m audio duo, is being recognised as a speaker in my laptop, how do i fix that? it is neither appearing as an asio device in the fl studio software, please help me with this

• What is the make and model of your external audio interface?
• Which routing application are you using?

The configurations of inputs and outputs on any audio interface is dependent on the hardware and its supporting software. Any audio interface with more than 2 inputs and 2 outputs, should ideally give the user an option to map the
Input and Output Config, according to his interest.



I suggest you to go through the user manual provided by your audio interface's manufacturer to know how to set up the control surface.



If it doesn't explain how to configure, I suggest you to get in touch with the audio interface's manufacturer to know how to configure the same.

Audio Interface microphone losing input in certain games but not all.

I recently purchased an M-audio M-track duo and have been using it to record audio for discord. While playing certain games my microphone will stop inputing to discord and I have to unplug and plug back in the audio interface which will fix the problem for around 5 minutes. This behavior only happens in no mans sky, minecraft and mordhau. It never happens when I play dark souls 3, black mesa, dark souls remastered and many more. The issue never happened playing minecraft on my laptop which makes me think it is a software issue and not a hardware issue with my audio interface. The audio interface also has a light to indicate when it hears input and the light works fine even when the audio is cut out. I have also verified that this is not a discord only issue it also happens in audacity.

I have tried: Reinstalling and repairing the m-track duo drivers, updating my motherboards bios, checking device manager which reports the interface as working properly even when the audio isnt working, I have doubled checked it is enabled and not muted when the issue occurs, I have tried usb 3, usb 2 and several different cables.

If anybody has any ideas for possible solutions that would be great im really at a loss here.

 

Audio interface only being recognised for a few minutes

So I just bought the 'UR 28M' audio interface from Steinberg and I'm having some problems with it. It's disconnecting randomly during usage and 'malfunctioning', absolutely non-stop especially when I try to actually do something using it.

I've installed the latest drivers for it. I've set it up with my DAW, Bitwig Studio, and after about 1 minute or 2 minutes of usage it malfunctions and disconnects. It does not turn off it just disconnects. The hardware comes with a piece of software called dspMxFxUR28M which lets you see the values and turn some knobs, however, after my audio interface disconnects it just says 'not recognised' or 'cannot find interface' or something.

This is driving me up the wall so I hope you can help me. The reason it's making me so angry is because it breaks the audio driver I have for it in bitwig, so every time it malfunctions and disconnects I have to reinstall my DAW which is super annoying.

What can I do?
