Windows 10: My audio is coming out with heavy static feedback

PC HP Pavillion 360x, windows 11 - RealTek system - I turned on my laptop today and noticed that there was "no audio output device" - tried all the tricks, finally uninstalling the Realtek in device manager and restarting got sound back however there is now strong static whenever i play audio - I've since gone through the troubleshooter, attempted to update the driver and uninstalled and reinstalled. I've also gone into the control panel, and played around with settings including studio vs. DVD quality - the static is present in both however studio is much louder and more violent - Help please

More info is needed. Where is the static coming from? Headset and what model? Speakers? from regular PC audio? HDMI audio?

 

Audio is Broken / cant update windows

Thank you for your response. I tried almost everything in this list, and I was able to reenable the sound service, but it was not with any of those steps. However, I still can’t hear anything and it doesn’t say any sound is playing. There is a bit of static
that comes through the speaker but thats it. Any more suggestions? Thanks!

• Type troubleshooting on the search box.
• Click View all.
• Select Recording Audio.
• Follow the steps to troubleshoot Recording Audio.
